Merchants Capital advised the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA) on structuring a multi-billion riyal government fund dedicated to financing water infrastructure projects.
Water infrastructure is essential to the Kingdom’s growth, and its needs are large and long-term. The fund is designed to give the sector a dedicated, sustainable source of financing, so that projects can move forward without depending solely on the state budget.
By creating a platform that can bring in private and institutional capital alongside government funding, the fund supports the growth of the water sector and the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 for more efficient and sustainable use of the Kingdom’s water resources.
